“I never think out any of my creations. I don’t sketch, and everything is individually hand made. I like to say I go with the flow of things. I find it racy to look at my end results after knowing what I started with. Give me scraps, I create!”

Twenty year old DMV native, Aminah Muse got next. Inspired by her father’s countries of Sudan and Ethopia, she decided to create a line of clothing that was not only eccentric, but daring. Colliding cultures, her designs deliver not only a message, but an element of sincerity. According to Aminah, she “enjoys the concept of opposites attracting – like Pocahontas meets Shaka Zulu.”

Aminah’s designs are filled with resurrection and reconstructing. Each design stays true to her aesthetic-full of symmetry and balance.  Starting her design career  five years ago in highschool as the head of the Fashion Society, Aminah vowed to never run in a  ”cult” and to always be experimental and innovative. The girl who would make skirts out of curtains soon became the designer who recontructed conventional pieces from Ethiopia. Creating for the individual, her goals are to reconstruct for powerful females that inspire the men around them. Her fan base already includes lifestyle bloggers, fashionistas, rappers, musicians, and more.
